Firstly and most importantly you must identify your major motivation to lose weight in a week, only then can you set about deciding upon the approach you have in establishing your goals and expectations.

You may be only interested in squeezing into a favorite piece of clothing for a special event. Or it might be to kick start a longer term weight loss objective.

If it is just a short term objective, be very careful about starvation or highly restrictive diets like cabbage, lemonade and detox diets. They tend to leave you feeling tired unhappy. This is not likely to lead to you enjoying the special event.

If  you are looking to kick start a long term weight loss objective, it is a great idea to plan your overall approach not just what you intend to do to lose weight in a week. Your first week should be aimed at setting yourself up for long term success.
